OpenRedaction is open source and community-driven. This page is a snapshot of current direction — not a contract on dates or scope. Priorities shift with feedback, contributions, and real-world use.

- Improve and expand PII pattern coverage — help wanted (#75)
- Harden existing patterns with fixtures, false-positive/negative checks, and regression tests
- Contributor-friendly path for missing regional identifiers (spec reference, examples, tests)
- Pattern metadata (country / family / examples) as a source of truth for tests, docs, and coverage
- Split that work into smaller country / region / family help-wanted issues once the format settles
